Professor Tirthankar Roy has advised that he intends to step down as editor at the next Annual General Meeting (spring 2025). As a consequence, members of the Economic History Society are invited to propose names for his replacement as editor; possible names to be sent the Society’s Administrators.
Suggestions are welcome from scholars of any field of economic and social history, but, for this particular role, we especially encourage suggestions from the fields of economic and social history of Asia, of Africa, and of any period. The editor should be UK-based or in a country within reasonable proximity to the UK. Any and all names proposed will, as per the Society’s Standing Orders, be put before the Editors and, subsequently, the Executive, prior to approval by Council and the AGM.
