II Congress Globalization and Growth in the history of East and Southeast Asia.

After the successful experience of last year, the Institute for Advanced Research in Business and Economics INARBE) and the Department of Economics of the Public University of Navarra (UPNA) organize the II Congress Globalization and Growth in the History of East and Southeast Asia, to be held from Thursday November 30th to Friday December 01st 2023 on a hybrid format (online & in person). For the in-person presentations, the presenter must cover travel and accommodation although some funding may be able to offset the expenses of some participants.

Conference information:

This two-day conference aims to bring together researchers working on various aspects of the economic history of East, Southeast and South Asia territories over the past 200 years. Special emphasis is given to papers dealing with the history of intra-Asian trade or its commercial integration with Europe, but any work studying specific elements of the long-term economic performance of this region is welcome.

Proposal submission:

For an individual paper, please submit a 150-word abstract to Alejandro Ayuso. Proposals should be submitted no later than September, 15, 2023. Accepted papers will be announced no later than October 10th, 2023.
