In July 2023, History UK and Northumbria University co-hosted a one-day workshop on ‘Experiential Learning in History: Initiatives, Case Studies and Reflections’. We now plan to extend the dialogue on this subject by hosting by dedicating one of our forthcoming Pedagogy Forum sessions to this subject. Our virtual event will take place in the afternoon of Wednesday 20 March. If you know of colleagues who have interesting initiatives to share, please encourage them to write to Daniel Laqua by 15 February 2024.

If you have a project that you would like to present, you are also warmly invited to get in touch with Daniel. The format for presentations/contributions is fairly flexible, and can be discussed via email with Daniel. As part of the forum, we are hoping to showcase a range of different approaches and initiatives, from the use of live briefs to the creative use of excursions and innovative placement arrangements.
