You are invited to submit a paper to the 9th World Congress of Cliometrics that will take place in Dublin, Ireland, July 20-23, 2023.

The World Congress is designed to provide extensive discussion of new and innovative research in economic history, with an expected 80-90 papers to be selected for presentation and discussion.

The World Congress website for paper submissions is now open.

Those wishing to present a paper should provide an abstract and a 3-5 page summary of the proposed paper. Submissions will be accepted only in electronic form. At least one author of an accepted paper must be a member of the Cliometric Society. You may join the Cliometric Society online.

We particularly encourage paper proposals from graduate students. A grant from the National Science Foundation provides competitive support for travel and accommodations for students on the program.

A 45 minute session is devoted to each paper, in which authors have 10 minutes to make an opening statement and the rest of the session (35 minutes) is dedicated to discussion among all conference participants in the spirit of the annual cliometric conferences.

All sessions will be held at Trinity College Dublin.

Calendar:

– Authors notified of acceptance of paper: March 13, 2023

– Due date for accepted papers: April 24, 2023

– World Clio Meeting in Dublin: July 20-23, 2023
