Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) will provide a fully funded PhD scholarship to a scholar with research interests in Hong Kong post-war colonial history in a global context.
Applicants who have an interest in researching Hong Kong’s role during the Cold War, and/or state-society relations in colonial Hong Kong, and/or environmental history in Hong Kong are particularly encouraged to apply. Ability to read Chinese sources will be advantageous. The project might suit a candidate aiming to work in the field of colonial and imperial history, East Asian history and global / transnational history.
