Gender and Race in Employment Policies at Service and Retail Employers in Britain, c. 1965-90
The EHS bursary helped fund the third year of my PhD. In the last year, I wrote the remaining three of the six chapters of my PhD thesis, which explores employment policies and worker activism at mid-to-late-twentieth century British high-street companies. Â I submitted condensed versions of two chapters for peer-reviewed publication and presented my research at several conferences, including the World Economic History Congress in Lund, Sweden.
