The motivations and social significance of women’s philanthropic practice in the Northampton Boot and Shoe Industry 1870 to 1950
During the last year, I have completed a draft chapter on political motivations and one religious motivations. I have compiled an extensive database on women’s involvement in the local hospitals from reports in the hospital archives. I have also presented papers at a number of events run by the University of Northampton and Historical Association on my research, and have written an article which is currently going through peer review with Religion Compass.
