‘Women of the Family Planning Association’: Exploring the women involved in Birmingham and Winchester from 1945 to 1955

The EHS bursary has been invaluable in allowing me to collect research material in London for my thesis and further my career development. Through the support of the society, I have been able to undertake voluntary teaching which would have been impossible due to rent and living costs. The voluntary teaching has helped me to gain a lecturing position for the future. I have also been able to present my work at workshops where I have met key academics. I am currently co-writing an article on infertility in Birmingham which would not have happened without the bursary.
