Election: EHS President and Honorary Secretary

Members of the Economic History Society were invited to contact Council members with suggestions for the offices of President and Honorary Secretary. The terms of office of the President (Professor Phillipp Schofield) and Honorary Secretary (Professor Judy Stephenson) of the Economic History Society will end at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 5 April 2025 at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow). Professor Stephenson was eligible for nomination to serve a 2nd 3-year term.

President:

Following the online election held between 15 and 29 November 2024, it is hereby announced that, from 5 April 2025, Professor Patrick Wallis will, subject to approval at the 2025 AGM, begin his 3-year term as President.

Hononary Secretary:

Following due process, one nomination was received; Professor Stephenson will, subject to approval at the 2025 AGM, begin her second term as Honorary Secretary.
