David Gagie
David has led a long executive and board-level career in retail financial services. His board appointments have included chair of ClearBank, and directorships for LloydsTSB retail bank, Shawbrook Bank, Lowell Group, Visa UK, and Chair of Mastercard UK. He also served as a Senior Advisor to the Financial Conduct Authority and the Payments Systems Regulator where he focused on regulatory policy and conduct issues relating to retail banking, consumer credit and payments, and as a governor of Mid-Kent College, a further education college serving 7,000 students in the Medway valley area. David completed his master’s degree at the London School of Economics 2018 and is currently studying for his PhD in early eighteenth-century merchant history at the University of York.
