Reginald Revans (1907-2003) was an academic and business consultant who pioneered the idea of ‘action learning’. He successfully applied this model in his ‘Inter-University Project’ in Belgium, which significantly boosted the country’s economy and industrial productivity growth rate. Part of this collection has recently been digitised and is available to view online on the Salford Digital Archives website.

This digital collection contains flipchart pages of hand-drawn graphs, tables and diagrams which Revans used during his lectures, many of which are focused on global economy. These brightly-coloured, detailed drawings are an insight into Revans’ meticulous mind and thorough approach to business. All of these flipcharts, along with two videos of Revans being interviewed, can now be viewed online here.

If you are interested in the collection and want to learn more about it, please get in touch with the Archivist at the University of Salford.
