The impact of the First World War on female-run small businesses in Bath, c.1911-28

I am extremely grateful to the Economic History Society for the very generous bursary. It has not only helped support my living costs but has also been used to purchase several online subscriptions such as the British Newspaper Archives and Ancestry.co.uk. It has enabled me to write-up a substantial piece of my research which looks at the impact of the First World War on female-run small business participation in Bath. I have also presented papers at two online seminars as well as having a blog published online. Additionally, I have been able to visit the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, to consult the 1922 Census records.
