Lascars, crime and Britain: Analysing the experiences of South Asian seafarers in British Courts and institutions
During the bursary award year, I focused on writing up my PhD thesis, significantly advancing my research. The bursary allowed me to reduce part-time work, access essential archival materials, and present my findings at several academic conferences. I also contributed a chapter to a book for Glasgow Museums, which received award nominations and published articles in the Durham Symeon Magazine and the Bristol Mariners Blog. Additionally, I submitted a journal article to the Urban Geographies Journal, which is currently under review, further enhancing the impact of my research.
