Police labour and state-formation in Bengal c.1860 to c.1950
The bursary contributed to my living expenses in the fourth year of my doctoral work, and enabled me to write up my dissertation while living in Cambridge. It also allowed me to conduct supplementary research at the British Library in London, which substantially added to the breadth and diversity of my dissertation’s source base. Over the past year, this financial support gave me the opportunity to present my research findings at workshops and conferences in Cambridge, U.S., and India, and to receive invaluable feedback. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Economic History Society for their support.
