The historical development of Roman Maritime Law during the Late Republic and Early Principate

During the course of my bursary year I completed my thesis and was able to attend a series of academic conferences on the theme of Roman legal and economic history. The award also enabled me to dedicate time to the organisation of several international workshops on topics such as the management of water resources and long-distance trade in the Roman world. I have several publications forthcoming in edited volumes, and a single article currently under review at a leading journal in Roman history.
