Industrial location, market integration and financial contagion: evidence from interwar Yugoslavia

During the funding period I have made considerable progress in the three major chapters of my PhD thesis.  As a brief overview, I am happy to say that in the past academic year I have managed to collect new data, apply new methodologies and fine tune the ones I have already been using, learn new GIS software, present my research at several conferences, and polish a chapter for journal submission.  None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the generous EHS bursary, which contributed to my living expenses. Therefore, I thank the EHS for its support of my research.
