Middle-class values, working-class culture: A study of Hull and Bradford 1870-1914

During the last academic year, I have been attending the Doctoral College module: Modern Researcher 3, this is the last module on the PhD programme.  I now have 60 credits which will be required for completion of the PhD.   I have commenced writing my literature review which includes an analysis of the secondary literature on the socio-Economic landscape of England during the Industrial Revolution; the formation of the localised police forces established as a result of the Municipal Corporations Act of 1835; the problem of drunkenness within the working-class community and police forces, and the rise of the temperance movement.
