Yangyang Liu is a PhD candidate in Economic History at the London School of Economics (LSE). She holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from Durham University, and an MSc in Economic History from the LSE. Her doctoral research explores the historical origins and evolution of Chinese Banking from 960 to 1937. She is conducting her work under the supervision of Professors Kent Deng and Olivier Accominotti.
