The Council of the Economic History Society seeks expressions of interest for the position of Chair of the Society’s Centenary Committee. The Centenary will be a celebration of the Society’s support of economic and social history, drawing people from across career stages and the world to mark this important occasion.

The Chair will lead a small committee responsible for coordinating celebrations of the Society’s centenary in 2026, which will involve working with the Society’s Officers, Editors, Chairs and members of the Conference Committee; the Public Engagement Committee; and the Publications Committee

Those interested in the role should please send a CV and a short covering letter outlining what opportunities the Centenary offers the Society, how they would be equipped to support the Society in bringing appropriate commemoration to fruition, and in what ways they would anticipate working with Executive and the parties named above.

The Society will consider expressions of interest submitted to the administrators by 5pm June 19th.
