The Frontier and Latecomer? The Historical Origins, Evolution and Development of China’s (Proto) Banking System, 618 – 1911

I am deeply grateful to the Economic History Society for awarding me a PhD bursary in 2024/25, which provided critical financial support for my doctoral research. The generous support of the Economic History Society was helpful in covering partial tuition fees and living costs, allowing me to focus my efforts on collecting archival sources, writing monograph chapters, and presenting at conferences where I received valuable constructive feedback from an international audience.
