The governing body of the Economic History Society is a Council consisting of the Officers of the Society, elected, and co-opted members.  To encourage postgraduate students in economic and/or social history to engage with the Society’s activities, Council has agreed to co-opt two student members to serve for a two-year term each.  Council members are expected to attend two meetings per year: in October (usually online) and at the annual conference in March/April.

Nominations are sought to fill a newly vacant slot.

Nominees should have at least one year of their PhD to complete from the date of appointment (November/December 2024).

Applications should be supported by a supervisor’s statement which should be sent to the administrators.

Deadline: 31 October 2024.
